Today I created the captions which will be in the trailer. The way I done this was to produce the text in photoshop, and then import them into the trailer by saving them as picture files.
But with the other caption I imported it 3 times as I used the zoom feature in Pinnacle. I felt that this looked more interesting than just a fade in transition.

Editing.
Today I edited in the scene where the main character is on the bed and is swinging the necklace watch. Whilst filming it was very difficult filming as there was limited space, but i did manage to achieve the shot.
The camera movement which I used was an arc movement - this is where the camera moves around a person or an object.
I did this camera movement with my character as I felt this would go against the conventions of the horror genre and will give my trailer a unique feel to it.
When I edited this in my trailer I tweaked the pace of the scene by using the speed feature in Pinnacle which allows you to adjust the speed of the scene.
I increased the speed of the scene as it matches the rest of my trailer. This also gave 'jerky' movements which was uncomfortable to watch, but this is the reason and it fitted in well with the genre of horror.

Editing.
I then included a fade and place the shot where the main character is looking up the stairs with curiosity, this is the mid shot of her. It then zooms in slowly - which I did with the camera itself, and then changes shots.
The second shot is her still looking up the stairs but is a high angle shot as I want the audience to feel that she is feeling vulnerable at this stage. Whilst shooting this shot I zoomed into the characters face to show the emotion more clearly. When editing this scene into my trailer, I used the speed feature in Pinnacle to speed up the zoom. I feel that this gave the shot a sense of awkwardness in which i want the audience to feel uncomfortable.
Along with the zoom, I also added an old style film effect, as this looked more authentic to the picture/scene.

Editing.
Today I edited in the part where the main character is walk down the road, however this is only for 0.3 seconds as I wanted the trailer to be kept under a minute.
And I also put in the conversation between the 2 characters, and this is the first time where we see the main character interact with another character, and is also the first time where the audience will see the new character being introduced which is also the main character as he plays the role of the boyfriend.
Along with those shots I edited the conversation by cutting out the sound as I only wanted the music playing, and I also chose 2 shots.
After editing in the conversation I added a close up of the main character walking towards the camera. This is so we get a mid shot of the main character holding the necklace watch whilst walking.

Editing.
The shots that I am using are very short, sharp, and quick. I want the trailer to have fast paced editing as I want it to contrast the music - which is dominate in my trailer.
Today I edited in the necklace watch. I placed this at the beginning as I wanted the trailer to be solely focused on the object as this is the thing that releases the possession.
Along with adding that i included fade transitions in front of the shots so that the trailer plays smoothly and that the transition from one shot to the next is smooth and clean.

The Voice Over and The Soundtrack.
The Voiceover of the trailer, and the background music was all done today by computer. With the help of my friend who works in the music industry. He recorded voiceover and was recorded via a microphone, and then transmitted into a music editing software called Logic Pro. Using this software we were able to put sounds together using a keyboard and record a soundtrack which will be best suited for my trailer. We also used Garage Band Pro in which we used this as an extension to the Logic Pro. The image on the right is the software which we used to produce the sound for the trailer. As you can see there are a lot of controls on screen which I was struggling to utilise effectively, however, with the help I received it was easy to understand and operate.

Editing.
Still editing the beginning of the trailer I added an old film effect on some of the clips. I did this as it gives a nice effect to the trailer. However - I will only do it on some of the shots in my trailer.
Today I edited in the shot where Simone is sitting in the living room with her laptop. But I only want the audience to have a quick glance - thus I edited the shot to 0.3 seconds.
Today I got this idea of having the text typography on a black background and have it shown between each shot however, I want it to act as a subliminal message. Therefore making the shot to 0.1 seconds.
The way in which this will work is if I import the image film (as a Jpeg). I did this all on Photoshop and saved it as a picture file. With the picture imported onto the trailer I was then able to place it whereever I desired.

Editing.
I started off with the beginning of the trailer by adding a transition in front of a scene which I edited and cut out the importent parts which I wished to use. The idea that I have in my head is to start the trailer off with the transition as it will make the trailer have an interesting start.
The video footage which I have used is where the 2 characters are at the breakfast table talking.
Whilst filming I shot the conversation from one view of one character, then another from the the second character and then I filmed the whole conversation having the camera facing towards them.
I want to portray the characters first - laughing and enjoying a good conversation.
The way i want my trailer to be is mostly mute - so that the characters don't speak. I want the music playing as a soundtrack to the trailer as I feel that my audience will remember the film more.

Editing.
I have started the editing process of my trailer. For the editing of my trailer I am using Pinnacle. I hava never used or touched Pinnacle before, so it is all new for me. However I feel that it will be simple to use and that I will be able to get familiar with all the tools and features within the software.

Filming.
This was the final day of filming the footage for the trailer. On this day I filmed the scene which took place in the second bedroom where I shot Simran on the bed swinging the necklace watch and I did a arch camera movement around the character.
I shot the scene where Simran holding a knife and slowly creeping towards Raj who was sitting at the breakfast table casually reading the newspaper.
Finally I shot the scene of Raj on the floor in which he was stabbed by Simran as she was unable to overcome the possession and se let it over possess her.

Filming.
This day I filmed the bedroom scenes. These consisted of the conversation between Raj and Simran where they conversed about dinner. This was the time where the audience would see the awkward vibe coming from her by the way she was clutching the necklace watch and how she spoke to Raj. Whilst shooting this scene, it was the most challenging as I had little space around the bed to get wider on the shoot. To over come this dilemma, I put the camera up on the window ledge and filmed as this gave an enough wider shot for both the characters to be in the frame.
Straight after doing that scene, I filmed the scene where Simran is looking at herself in the mirror, touching her face showing emotion. By directing the character to act this way i wanted to connote that she was analysing her face in the mirror, trying to spot any physical changes as she knew that her mental persona has altered.
