Conclusion.

Overall I feel that my trailer was a success, meeting the genre conventions and trailer conventions of the horror, whilst using new media technology in order to accomplish this.
I particularly enjoyed using pinnacle as I have learnt how to utilise it effectively, I also enjoyed using Photoshop to my advantage and incorporating that within my trailer to give it that uniqueness. I also learnt how to use a blog effectively to record my research findings and explaining my work and how I found solutions to problems. At the beginning of this project I had no idea on why directors and producers use certain objects and people in horror films and trailers, I just enjoyed watching them. But by creating/directing/producing a horror trailer myself, I have truly found it an experience, as I had learnt more in detail about the genre.

Questionnaire Analysis.

I carried out this questionnaire on 30 people - 15 girls and 15 boys. The aim of carrying out this questionnaire was to get feedback and opinions about my trailer and my ancillary task. I got a varied responses from a range of people. 28 people out of 30 thought that my trailer does meet the conventions of other horror trailer that they have previously seen. Whereas, 2 of them selected it doesn’t. With the genre conventions of my trailer, 11 out of 30 people stated that the effect on the title relates to the genre convention as the style of the typography is horror specific, and the colours used is conventional as it uses the typical red and black colours. 7 of the people said that the captions were genre conventional, and 8 out of 30 said that the end of the trailer was genre specific as it uses the sudden scare to shock the audience. And finally 4 people stated that all of the trailer was genre conventional. 14 people stated that they enjoyed the music of the trailer and 7 of my audience said that they enjoyed viewing the end of the trailer. In the 4th question all of the people said if they saw my trailer they would go and watch it at the cinema. They also said if they saw my front cover and poster then they would also go to the cinema and watch it. This is because all of them were attracted to the typography of the front cover and poster, and also the picture on both media.
