Along with the trailer i will have to do some planning and i have drawn out and made a storyboard of roughly what my product will look like. I have tried to make it as accurate as i can and included a few notes about the camera shots and movements, the mise-en-scene, and the editing/effect/transitions which will be used in order for my trailer to meet the expected genre conventions.
Frame 1: The camera movements which will be needed for this frame is a close of up of the watch - necklace do that the audience can see the main object which will be featured in the trailer. Whilst this is on screen the voice over which i will do will be playing. In my trailer i will be using many close ups and mid - shots, as this is a common convention which is used in the horror genre for trailers and films.
Frame 2:
In this frame the camera movements which i will use is an extreme close - up of the necklace watch. I have decided to use this shot is so the audience can see the detail of the object. The extreme focus on the watch can also connote that this object has real significance within the film.
Frame 3:
In this frame I have decided to use an over the shoulder shot, as i feel this is a crucial camera movement to use when filming a conversation between 2 people.
Frame 4:
Here is the other end of the over the shoulder shot. i will begin my trailer by introducing my characters whilst having a conversation.
In addition to using an over the shoulder shot, not only can we see the other character speaking, the audience can also see the environment that they are in. In this scenario, it is filmed at the kitchen table.
Frame 5:
This is where the audience will see the main character in action. I will be using a long shot, and then zooming into the character slowly as she is walking towards the camera. This is where the audience will see the whole body and understand what type of person she is.
Frame 6:
This is where the main character begins to notice and hear the sounds coming from the bedroom upstairs. The camera movements will be a mid shot of her and then slowly the camera will zoom in towards her.
