With the masthead, i have taking a font off of a website which I found which feature and include a range of fonts.(http://www.1001fonts.com/ )
To make the masthead looking how it is I imported the text into Photoshop and used the magic wand tool. I then selected each letter while holding down the shift key to select all the individual letters. I then copied and pasted it onto the poster and edited the effects of the text by holding down the Alt while double clicking on the layer. The effects that i made on the masthead is a colour overlay which is red, bevel+emboss with contours, and a drop shadow. All these effects combined together make the masthead.
